Brenda has always had a love affair with color and design. She began her creative journey with painting, stenciling, and "sponging" her own home 20 years ago. Running out of room in her own home, she started stenciling in her friends' homes.
Brenda spent the majority of her working life in the produce industry, starting in 1976. She progressively advanced within the industry from punching cards in the onion fields to truck driving, and finally working in the sales offices for a combined total of more than 20 years! During the last 6 years, you could often catch Brenda working on walls and cabinetry in the evenings and on weekends.
In 2010, Brenda left her position in the sales office to open her own business pursuing her passion and her love of colors, sparkle, shimmer, patterns, and textures. She visualizes your home as her canvas!
As a member of IDAL (International Decorative Artisan's League), she has studied and trained with many mediums and has taken certification classes and workshops with well-known artisans such as Susan Anspach (Bakersfield), Jennifer Ferguson (Fresno), Melanie Royals (Modello Designs), Anne Skougard (House of Anne), Granicrete Internationsl (Phoenix, AZ), Kelly Peterson (Layers of Color, Granite Bay, CA), Ricky Del Rosario (DBR Faux Santa Rosa, CA), Henri Menendez (Atlanta, GA), Kelly S. King (Modern Masters), Dru Blair (Color Theory), Alison Woolley (Florence, Italy).
Brenda is also an advocate for re-purposing, re-using, and rejuvenating your older or outdated furniture, mirrors/frames, etc. Brenda's motto is:
"Don't throw that away, we can do something fun with that!"
